Things are returning to normal after the wild events of last week. The Portage Diversion was closed on Thursday after being opened to handle the high flows on the Assiniboine. Flows on the Assiniboine are returning to normal, dropping quickly this week, currently registering 4,732 cfs at Holland and 6,286 at Headingly. Flows on the Whitemud, which jumped substantially in the heavy rains, are also falling quickly, currently registering 911 cfs. On Lake Manitoba, the gauge at Westbourne is functioning again, and the current estimate of the lake level is 811.53 feet. Outflow at Fairford is 2,800 cfs and inflow from the Waterhen River is 4,097 cfs. The level of Lake St. Martin is down to 798.18 ft and flow on the Dauphin River is down to 2,977 cfs. Lake Winnipegosis is down to 830.93 feet. The level of the Shellmouth Reservoir rose this week to 1403.06 feet.
