You are here: Home / Flood Protecting / Flood Update-July 8,2014

July 9, 2014 //  by webmgr//  Leave a Comment

Here are a few key items of interest regarding the current flood conditions, as submitted by Jack King:
  1. Plan for shoreline protection is to install super sandbags in the ‘vulnerable’ areas of Twin. Work begins today. Materials are in short supply and will limit the coverage obviously.
  2. Current lake level: 814.3 (Westbourne)
  3. Diversion: 28,000cfs with crest coming tomorrow around noon at 34,000cfs
  4. Expected rise of lake with max flow from diversion is expected to be 6 inches every 10 days
  5. EOC – emergency coordination across from Depanneur (phone and contact info to follow)
