Here is the latest information from Mike Yacentiuk, Senior Director of MASC.
1. Upon claim settlement and subject to the approval of the Flood Recovery Office, clients in the TAP who have a principal residence, are eligible to remain on TAP for a period of up to twelve (12) months beginning from the date they received their claim settlement for their principal residence. As each TAP case is unique, I would suggest the client contact their TAP Claims Officer to discuss their individual situation. An appeal does not terminate ones eligibility for the TAP.
2. An individual could appear before the BRAP 2011 Appeals Commission on more than one occasion, for separate program components, if they felt they were not treated fairly and choose to file an appeal. Clients can contact the Appeals Commission (945-6895) to discuss their circumstances and appeal options.
