Just a note to advise you that there will be a Town Hall Meeting on Saturday, July 14th, 2012 at 10:00am at the St. Laurent Rec Centre. Although it will be posted on the RM website, I would ask that each of you pass along this information to the residents of your beach just to make sure that everyone is aware of it and can make plans to attend. We will be providing a brief agenda on the RM website sometime next week.
The purpose of this meeting is to get more information to the victims of the Lake Manitoba Flood. There will be representatives from MASC, Water Stewardship and the IRHA in attendance, and they will be there to answer questions with regards to their programs. I would like to make sure that everyone knows that this is not a “gripe” session, but rather an information session on the Provincial programs. These men and women have no control over the lake levels, nor did they write the rules for the programs, they are merely messengers of these programs and are there to try to clarify them for us.
