Demolition and Cleanup, RM of St. Laurent
MASC advises that in the process of finalizing claims, they will provide the home or cottage owner with a Fair Market Value and the estimated repair costs. It will be the owner’s decision to repair or demolish the structure. When the owner informs MASC they wish to demolish a structure they will advise the Municipality with the owner’s name and Tax Roll number. When the RM has completed the demolition and site cleanup, notice will be given to MASC acknowledging the work is complete and the remaining 10% payment will be released to the owner. As the lake level remains high, proper demolition and cleanup in some cases may not be possible until conditions improve.
