In a positive move forward toward the restoration of their homes, cottages, and lives following the flood of 2011, Lake Manitoba residents and cottage owners, along with contractors from across the region, will be gathering on May 5 at the Canad Inns Club Regent in Winnipeg.

This Manitoba-first event will connect property owners with skilled contractors in a friendly, informal atmosphere. Speakers will address such key topics as foundations, mould testing and remediation, cottage lifting and leveling, tree removal, project planning, and more.

“The Royal Bank, Olympic Builders, St. Laurent Home Hardware, and over 30 other businesses and contractors will be on hand to answer questions and provide advice,” says Andrew Colman, event planner.

The Lake Manitoba Flood Re-Build Trade Show takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration is free.

To pre-register and enter to win an iPod visit thebuilderstrack.ca, or register in person at the door.

“We invite property owners who attend to bring photos and information to show contractors what needs to be done,” Colman adds.
