1. The RM of Woodlands has acquired the services of the Federal Coast

respective homes.   This vessel is a barge type boat, 6 tons, 16 ‘X 30’ in

2. These Operations will begin on Tuesday, July 18th and will end on
Saturday, July 30th (excluding Sunday).

4. Due to the fact that property owners and moving crews will be transported
via the Pontoon boat to their property – a maximum of 6 persons (owners &
movers) will be allowed for each property.

5. Owners should advise moving company personnel that they will be provided
with approx. 5 hours to load/unload contents from the subject property/onto the

8. Both Permanent and Seasonal property owners will be allowed 5 hours to

two transported per barge trip; therefore  they will only be allowed to move
contents out that would fill their half of the barge. This is necessary due to
the tight timeframe that we will have access to the Coast Guard barge services.

We have received reports from a few of our residents that, this past weekend, they located a number of rocks in the lake that had zebra mussels attached to them.It appears the mussels have arrived at our beach. Please let folks know, and especially children know - as if they are in the water playing, and they step on rocks with zebra mussels attached, those little buggers can be razor sharp, and could easily cut someone's exposed skin.FYI. ... It is our unfortunate duty to share with you some information provided to us at the AGM last weekend by the RM of Woodlands. It appears that the agreement between Woodlands and St Laurent for winter snow plowing has been dissolved, and is no longer in place. As a result, St Laurent will not be plowing the road this coming winter. This is not due to the councils of either RM, both of whom remain in favour. The problem is due to the union in the RM of Woodlands, that has objected to the agreement, as it considers it a form of outsourcing, and a violation of the collective agreement. I know from talking to numerous of the full time residents of Woodlands that they were very pleased last winter with the impact of the agreement, and I have no doubt that you will find this news disappointing.Snow plowing will return to the format that was in place prior to last winter.I am told that the collective agreement is coming up for renegotiation in the next year or so, and the RM of Woodlands will try to get this arrangement into the union agreement when it does. No guarantees.Fyi. ... See MoreSee Less

As president for the last few years, Will made it his focus to help individual members with their issues, concerns and problems, during all four seasons. Additionally, he put considerable effort into issues relating to environmental cleanup, solving the issue with ghost nets in the water, a decontamination station for zebra mussels, election communications, coordination with the other beach associations, and more. Will was always available to lend an ear to anyone who needed help.Thank you for all your efforts Will, Twin Lakes Beach is better for them! ...
